Turn your RSS feeds into a personal printable magazine

Thanks to kate @mynameiskate who tweeted a nifty little site earlier this week called tabbloid.

tabbloid allows you to create your own personal magazine by auto-formatting (with images) the rss feeds of your choice. You can then have your magazine delivered to an email address of choice automatically whenever you’d like to receive it.

It’s not that I want to print the articles that makes this handy, it’s more that it makes reading my feeds on the go easier to do – like if i’m flying somewhere and want to catch up on my favorite blogs.

Having said that, you could also publish an e-book or white paper based on your subscriptions – what a great way to syndicate and propagate your awesome content beyond the most recent articles

It would also be a way to expand your audience beyond those who haven’t yet figured out rss feeds and readers. This would be ideally suited for corporate blogs who want to email subscribers a monthly or quarterly newsletter.

Check out my sample tabbloid here.

Another site that I found that does the same thing is http://www.zinepal.com

One cool feature is that it lets you format content for printing from any web page, even if the page doesn’t have a feed. You might want to check it out.
